Get there early to get some refreshments and take a seat -- the reading will start promptly at 5:30.

George Kalamaras, former Poet Laureate of Indiana (2014-2016), is the author of eighteen books of poetry, eleven of which are full length, including Kingdom of Throat-Stuck Luck, winner of the Elixir Press Poetry Prize (2011). His most recent book is Luminous in the Owl’s Rib (Dos Madres Press, 2019). He is a Professor of English at Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he has taught since 1990. Lisa Zimmerman’s poems and short stories have appeared in Redbook Magazine, Florida Review, Poet Lore, Chiron Review, Trampset, Colorado Review, Cave Wall, Amethyst Review, SWWIM Every Day, and other journals. Her first book won the Violet Reed Haas Poetry Award. Other collections include The Light at the Edge of Everything (Anhinga Press) and The Hours I Keep (Main Street Rag). She is a four-time Pushcart Prize nominee and is a Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Northern Colorado. She lives in Fort Collins. ------------------------------------ Free and open to all. A donation is welcome at the door to support future poetry events.
