Kristin Owens received a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration, an M.S. in Student Personnel Administration and a B.A in German. In her 25-year career in university administration, she held academic positions at Penn State, University of Maryland, University of Alaska Anchorage and Mat-Su College. She taught graduate statistics and was awarded Faculty of the Year by Aims Community College.
Since passing the Court of Master Sommeliers' Introductory Course Examination, she travels the world looking for a good $10 bottle of wine. She speaks fluent German and crappy French.
Kristin is now a full-time writer in Colorado, a member of the Northern Colorado Writers Association, the Lighthouse Writers, and a steadfast weekly critique group.
She has over four dozen articles and personal essays published in magazines such as Writer’s Digest, Outpost, and Mind+Body. Her first manuscript, Elizabeth Sails, was selected as a Judge’s Favorite for the 2017 Ink & Insights contest.
