Her specialty is legal indexing, but she has indexed books with a diverse variety of topics. Susan also loves editing and proofreading--books or shorter pieces. Clients find her easy to work with, prompt, and accurate.
I believe language is our shared human superpower and that even the best writers benefit from working with a perceptive editor. After earning my MFA from CSU in 2009, I’ve contributed developmental, line, and copy editing to the many stories, essays, novels, memoirs, and children’s books my writers group members have published. I love to see a writer holding their just-published book in their hands and knowing I helped make that happen! How can I help you? Wherever you are on your writing journey, I look forward to hearing from you and helping you take the next step.

I believe in the creative process that begins with an inspired thought hastily scribbled on a napkin—a spark that ignites the process. The work starts, and through many rewrites and revisions, one day—the world gets to read it!
Every success I celebrated over twenty years as an employee, I attribute to my writing. I could not have accomplished this without honed proofreading and copyediting skills. An eagle-eyed perfectionist, I am passionate about helping writers present their best words to the world.
Are you writing a manuscript, your first book, the next book, crafting a corporate message, or sharing your passions on your website? Lock arms with me to get your best words out to the world; people are waiting to experience you! Learn more at MaryHueyProofreading.com
