No doubt, technology has revolutionized the writing world, providing us with an abundance of tools, ideas, and avenues in which to create. It also allows us to share our work with readers across the globe, but like most things, technology isn't perfect, and can frustrate and infuriate writers by failing to protect, or even save their work. Every fall, members have an opportunity to escape into Rocky Mountain National Park and spend three nights and nearly three days of quiet writing time. What better place to write than in a beautiful setting without any distractions? There aren't any classes or talks, just lots of writing time. Participants also receive a first chapter (or 10 pages of a project) critique by April Moore, to be done after the retreat! Whether you want to plow through a first draft, write a book proposal, or simply catch up on blog posts, the NCW Member-Only Writing Retreat is the ideal way to check those tasks off your writing to-do list.
