The Podcast returns to the 10th Annual Northern Colorado Writers Conference to hear a panel of authors discuss numerous aspects of their craft. The panel features Mark Lefebvre, Director of Kobo's The Writing Life, Kelly Baugh, author of the new novel Miss You Once Again (Hot Chocolate Press), and travel writer Carrie Visintainer, author of the upcoming book Wild Mama (Thought Catalog Books). Some of the topics discussed in the panel are:

  • Mark's use of both self-publishing and legacy publishers.
  • How a cookbook was created from Kelly's new novel.
  • Why Carrie decided to combine her travel essays into a book about traveling with children
  • If self- or standard publishing is the way to make the most money.
  • The influences which inspired Kelly to write her first novel.
  • How Carrie and her husband ended up being able to travel year round.

We also provide an update on NCW member Jim Davidson who was caught at a camp on Mount Everest during the tragic earthquake over the weekend. There's also news of an upcoming literary talk show hosted by Podcast host Rich Keller.
